What is the difference in yahoo google pay per click?
Pay per click (PPC) is an Internet advertising model used on websites, in which advertisers pay their host only when their ad is clicked. With search engines, advertisers typically bid on keyword phrases relevant to their target market. Content sites commonly charge a fixed price per click rather than use a bidding system.
Google AdWords is Google’s flagship advertising product and main source of revenue. AdWords offers pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, and site-targeted advertising for both text and banner ads. The AdWords program includes local, national, and international distribution. Google’s text advertisements are short, consisting of one title line and two content text lines. Image ads can be one of several different Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) standard sizes.
Yahoo! Search Marketing is a keyword-based “Pay per click” or “Sponsored search” Internet advertising service provided by Yahoo!. Yahoo began offering this service after acquiring Overture Services, Inc. (formerly Goto.com). Goto.com was an Idealab spin off and was the first company to successfully provide a pay-for-placement search service following previous attempts that were not well received
The difference between both is surely the number of clients targeted. As Google is used as the major SE, so paying money for google captures more clients. again it depends on clients specifications, and his domain, depending of which the Yahoo Search marketing/ Google adwards need to be chosen.
I don’t think its by clicks! Advertising is just as it is. A company is posted on the yahoo/google what have you pages. Someone will see their advertisement and respond to it however they want. It’s like an ad on a billboard on a highway its just there. Exposure you see it and that’s all that counts. Some companies pay more so when you search for something their homepage shows up first!
In the UK, Google accounts for over 90% of all searches. So you’ll get a lot more traffic if you use Google’s pay per click over Yahoo’s. In other ways, they are very similar.
Difference in term of importance?
Google is considered the best search engine and therefore most people aim to use pay per click on Google. But I would say it depends on what search engine your targeted audience uses most.
thats pretty interesting. for my company, the biggest problem with adwords I’ve had was getting a good ROI on advertising. We’ve spent a little over $5000 but we weren’t getting any leads of people interested in buying our US-made Adirondack chairs. we started consulting with a company who basically told us though that our targeting was too broad and the way to go is lots of exact match keywords, consolidated ad groups (all our groups are less than 20 keywords now), and including lots of long-tail keywords. if you want id recommend emailing him or whatnot if at least for the free ppc account audit, it helped us out increase our sales a bit after the economy down turned here. his email is simon[email protected] hope that helps!
Google is the more popular compare then yahoo bcoz people try google search more
no difference technically.. but yahoo don’t have publisher network while google is having large network of publishers
bid range is higher in google as compared to yahoo..
