What are your thoughts about the UK banning the Quran burning Pastor,Terry Jones, from entering the country?

We don’t like people who incite violence which is why the Westboro nutjobs are banned as well.

Edit: I should just add that we have enough nutters of our own.

While I think burning books is absolutely juvenile and stupid, I think the British Government gave one more bow to those in the UK that want to institute Sharia Law in Britain. Had Jones been threatening to actually burn the Quran during his visit then the ban would make sense. That is not, however, the case.
I guess Hyde Park is now silent…or soon will be.

As mentioned, the UK has enough Fruit Loops to deal with. They don’t need ours as well.

I’m surprised the Pope wasn’t banned after those horrible and bigoted comments he made about the UK people.

If I lived there, I wouldn’t want him banned. I don’t punish people for expressing their opinions; I merely ask that they be arrested if their actions break the law.

Burning a Koran, or threatening to do so, are protected forms of free speech in my nation. They aren’t wise actions, but I wouldn’t ban his right to do so.

I’m a free-speech “fundamentalist”, so I disapprove of even hateful nutjobs being denied the right to travel. But that’s legal to do in the UK and their right.

Terry jones, ‘he’s not the messiah, he’s a very naughty boy’ !!! Oops wrong one, though that one talked more sense

I applaud them.

Why should they not have the right to ban a person who wants to stir up violence?

That’s what societies do to protect themselves.

for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
– Galatians 6:7

Unnecessary. Let him in and arrest him if he breaks any law. Being an offensive person is not a crime.

Wasn’t he a Monty Python member?
